Restaurant Walliserkanne - Zermatt

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Welsh pot. The apartment was beautiful and cozy, very central and despite Bar pleasantly quiet. The breakfast was varied and gave us for a day of skiing energy. We would always like to come back.

Walliserkanne offers e variety of typical Swiss (Valais) food and a range of local wines. The qualitiy seems to be less impressive than few years ago, the presentation of plates lacks love and estetics. Rösti was not cooked well and not fresh. The restaurant was half empty at 20.30 hrs. Service was fast but minimalistic.

We stopped by this restaurant for a taste of Zermatt. we ate outside on an upper terrace where we were able to watch people go about their tasks. there are no cars allowed in Zermatt which is wonderful. the food here was delicious. my grandson had pork schnitzel, my granddaughter had a steak, my husband had pork as well I had salmon. it was all delicious. the waiter was such a pleasure, attentive, professional and funny. he spoke 5 - 8 languages and never dropped a beat.

Great spot for a quick meal. Service was good, and wide menu to select from.Pasta and pizza extensively on the menu as expected at an Italian venue, and both were very good. We also had the green curry (an unusual inclusion at Italian restaurant) but good flavours.Located right on the main street and close to the station.

This restaurant is on the main tourist street in Zermatt, so we took a chance and stopped for dinner. WOW! I have to say, we were both happy to discover that it was an exceptional meal! Would definitely recommend and go again!
