Bidrage med feedbackIt is a fact that it really sucks to be a vegan in most airports. at ams for example the best option is probably the vegan burger at bk. in lis they could get a soggy wrap in go natural. the big exception is lax. where they can go to real food daily and have a very good meal. but we focus on bru and the fact that they have exki at the airport. it is a better option than most places, so although I have rated other EXKi sites with 3* I have to give 4* to this because it is easy and they are able to eat somehow decent food in an airport.
I believe having a location like this is convenient, as it is common to struggle to find vegan options at airports. Here, you can find smoothies, salads, hot drinks, and vegan desserts to grab on the go. The quality is decent.
I had a carrot salad and a lentil potato sundried tomato salad. It was good and filling!
We had an extremely overpriced sandwich that could be finished in a few bites and an expensive salad that was tasteless with a solidified sauce on the side of it. It's okay if you need something quick that's clearly labelled vegan.
I saw three Exki restaurants at the airport: a smaller one at the entrance of the departure hall (in front of the check-in rows), a larger one in the departure hall (to the left of the check-in rows), and a smaller one at the start of Terminal B. I was hoping to find a vegan sandwich at the larger restaurant in the departure hall, but unfortunately, there were none available. Instead, we had falafels and salads. However, I did find a vegan sandwich labeled at the smaller restaurant at the beginning of Terminal B (by the gates), and the food was enjoyable. I was disappointed by the amount of plastic used and wished that Exki would pay more attention to waste reduction. I tried to take photos of the food options in the fridge but was told by an Exki employee that taking photos was not allowed. When I asked if this was due to airport security reasons, I was told that it is a general rule in all Exki restaurants. I found this rule to be surprising.
