Marcian - Zamboanga

Delicious local food. Servers are friendly. Must try! Best to come with a local to help explain the origin of the dishes.

First time for me to try tiolang itum, a Tausug-Muslim version of tinola but with beef and charred coconut. Loved it. The staff is friendly too. Check it out if you’re in town.

My first in enjoying Muslim cuisine was not disappointed loved the halo halo.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was excellent. As for the location, it's quite easy to find, especially if you use Google Maps.

We booked a room at Marcian for P1,200, which was a better deal compared to my favorite hotel, Winzell Suites, where a similar double room would cost P1,700. Marcian also provided complimentary hot and cold water, a service not available at Winzell. The staff at Marcian was very friendly, bringing free water to our room when we called the reception. On the other hand, Winzell offered a great online booking system with various promotions for Mastercard and Visa credit card users. Despite my past experience, I would recommend Marcian Business Hotel if you’re looking for a clean and comfortable place to stay in Zamboanga City!
