Garufa - Zacatecas

I oredered same dish as my wife. she was served first, i was served after evryone else was done eating. no apolgies offered

We have been to Garufa many times and had a nice meal. Tonight it was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. We ordered the equivalent of 2 filets only to be told they did not have them. The Mexican wine we ordered sorry they were out of this too. The first round of appetizers were served in a timely manner but then our steaks were brought out before our salads. When I approached the manger the excuse was that the waiter did not understand our order. Impossible. We speak perfect Spanish. After we finally received our salads and sent back the steaks, the next round of steaks were brought out rare when we ordered them medium. We sent them back again and when the steaks were finally delivered they were so salty we could not even take more than one bite. The manager was totally unapologetic and could not have cared less. Our children were starving and they were finally brought their pasta dishes which were described as “la throw upa”. The manager wanted to charge us for our steaks which was absurd and there was not one ounce of hospitality offered to us for an incredibly horrible experience. The “customer is always right” does not exist in this establishment and we all left after 2.5 hours hungry and disappointed. There are dozens and dozens of quality restaurants in San Miguel and I would not recommend spending one dime in this overrated, poorly staffed and poorly run establishment. The lack of service and lack of respect from the management was overwhelming and the fact that we were charged for anything this evening is still beyond me. We will never come back here again and will happily patronize the other steak houses in San Miguel that care about their customers.

From the moment you step inside the employees give you an attitude, they don’t even bother to offer a good service . The food has no flavor and don’t specify the ingredients in the dishes. Overalls bad experience.

Arrived at the empty restaurant, ordered a table for 6 and given the indifferent answer and lack of service decided just to leave. If this was just to order a table cannot think the poor servicio level.

Grilled Octopus was divine. Grilled shrimp plate was very nice as was e spaghetti bolognese. Very nice ambiance and wait staff was friendly and on point.
