Bidrage med feedbackWe came across this restaurant after a friend purchased some vegan junk food for us and we wanted to find more. The staff at this location was very friendly and helpful. They had a variety of products including sauces, dried items, candy, frozen goods, fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as clothing such as socks and fleece pullovers. Unfortunately, many items we were interested in contained milk or milk derivatives, but they were clearly labeled as such. Like another reviewer mentioned, this shop may not be very helpful for vegans unless you are looking for vegan junk food, which is what we were seeking. We did find some useful cooking supplies, like TVP slices. Our search for vegan pineapple cakes continues.
This chain of vegetarian health food stores can be found all over Taiwan. However, similar to many western health food stores, you may find yourself wondering where the actual food is when you visit. The store mainly sells obscure items that you likely won't need in your kitchen, and the limited fruit section is not very useful considering the availability of high-quality fruit at markets. Additionally, this store is not very vegan-friendly. None of the breads they offer are vegan, as they all contain milk ingredients according to the staff. It's frustrating that vegan bread can be purchased at mainstream supermarkets like PX Mart, but not at a health food store catering to vegetarians. If you are in search of unusual and pricey items, such as unsweetened German ketchup, this store may be for you.
I visited this restaurant in November 2010 and am happy to share my review on HappyCow. This small shop in Taiwan offers unique items such as high-quality organic coffee, organic underwear and socks, and a variety of vegetarian snacks (some of which are vegan-friendly). What sets this store apart is that it is completely vegetarian.
This is a vegetarian health-building chain throughout Taiwan. but as with most western health food shops, they will ask themselves where is eating when they go to the shop. the load sells only obscure items that they probably never need in their kitchen, and the small fruit section is quite useless in view of the full of good quality fruit markets. this load is also not very vegan-oriented. for example, none of the brote they sell are vegan because they contain all the milk ingredients according to the personal. it's ridiculous that I can buy vegan brot from a cracked super market like px mart, but not in a veg health food store. if they are looking to buy obscure and overpriced dinge like German ketchup, which does not taste sweet, then that is probably the load for them.
Was here in november 2010 and look forward to reviewing it for happycow. this small shop has some really special foundations for taiwan, including high quality organic coffee, organic underwear and socks, and many vegetarian snacks (some vegan suitable). best is a veg store.
