Davidson's Tavern - Youngstown

I normally love this place and eat here often. This time I Ordered a blackened chicken salad and got home and the lettuce was slimy and welted. I called they told me to come get another so I did, and I get home and wouldn?t you know? The salad is brownand welted and slimy. So grossed out I refuse to eat it. Definitely refraining from ordering here for a while. This picture I?mgoing to add is from the remake might I add(which sadly is still better quality lettuce than the first salad) there was morethan pictured, just didn?t feel like digging through the food any longer

We used to eat here fairly often before Covid. We went last Thursday(the first time in over 2 years) the menu had some changes... One of my favorites isn't offered anymore. That I understand .... things change. The prices took some pretty largehikes yet the quality took some pretty big drops. I doubt we will go back anytime soon. Makes me sad it WAS one of the fewplaces I could get my husband to go to eat.

The restaurant opens at 4 PM, but there are plenty of seating options in the bar area without having to sit at the bar itself. The food is delightful; I ordered a club sandwich without tomato (it's my preference), and the fries were abundant, reminiscent of those from Idora Park—there were tons! I enjoy my fries with vinegar and ketchup. My friends tried the sausage burger and the tuna melt, both of which they said were really good. The atmosphere is a bit dim, typical of a bar setting. If you go, definitely try the spicy Bloody Mary!

We had fantastic service this past Sunday with our group of 20! My chicken Francaise was absolutely delicious!

I really enjoyed the food here. However, the restaurant could use some updates, particularly with the flooring and booths. It would benefit from having someone come in to address the cleaning needs. Overall, the food is great!
