Southern Belle's - Yorkville

My husband and I were treated poorly on 8/01/24 it was us two and probably 3 other booths in our area. Our waiter was an elderly woman, we weren’t ready to order yet and she kept rushing us and making faces at my husband because he was undecided on what to get. We normally come here and this is the worse experience anyone could ever have. It was clear as day she was racist. Whenever we would ask for something she would make a face and looked bothered. But when attending the surrounding booths she was smiling and being polite. We asked if we could have a custom drink and she responded back with it’s expensive “profiling us” But the worst part of all we asked for a large mug with ice she said it wasn’t hers it was the other waitress and it was probably dirty. Why give other customers drinks in that mug when you can’t provide it to the rest ?? She came back with the mug dirty it still had “ice tea in it from the previous customer “ slammed the mug on our booth. I looked at her and she looked like she was bothered by our presence. I comforted and told her how she was treating us and how she was giving us things in a poorly matter. I asked to speak to the manager and was told he was out. Her excuse was she is busy … busy ?? But can’t be consistent with us, while everyone else where okay? I called today two different times to speak to Manager “Tony” and I was given the run around to call back later he wasn’t around or he was busy? What type of business is this that profiles customers and are treated with no respect ? Disgusted by their behavior! We didn’t even consume our meals because of the treatment received.

Great place to go for some amazing breakfast food and service. I went on my birthday and they treated me like a friend.

Oh my... first time going to this place, never tried it before. Boy was that a great decision!! Ordered the corn beef hash.... BEST IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!! The pancakes are brought in from the clouds of heaven. Highly recommend this place. Great staff, really sweet. Food came pretty fast even though they were busy. If you're in the area , check them out!
