Ginny's Place - Yorktown

Large American cuisine with Southern Flair served in everything you can enjoy buffet style. They don't have any Zillion items on their buffet, but that's better. All their selected items are constantly freshly prepared in small batches and are delicious. The price is very reasonable, the staff very friendly. And above all, they never sent me home with a heartburn.

If you want the South Cooking, this place is great. It is small and friendly with limited selection of all southern dishes- chicken, fried flounder and catfish, pulled pork, popcorn shrimps, potatoes and various gravys, collar, cornb beans and other southern veggies, salad bar, rolls and hush puppies. The staff is friendly and attentive. Great prices for everything you eat and go specialties.

Ginny has good food! I tried everything on the buffet and I like everything I tried. the food was well cooked and not seasoned. I liked the desserts they had. everything was quite simple, but very appetizing! I enjoyed everything I had, so I would definitely recommend it and I would go back there.

Comfort food-fried chicken, catfish and more. Salad bar, southern-style side dishes such as collar, pint beans and Mac and cheese. Clean, simple dining room. Friendly and attentive staff. Parking can be difficult to lunch, as the lot is a little small. Location is located near the NN/York County border.

This place had been recommended to me, so I looked it up and thought I'd give it a try. It was GREAT! The food was true comfort food and wonderfully made. I can be picky and critical of food. But I liked everything that I tried. For example, oftentimes, various salads have either too much pepper or onions. I tried a little of all of their 4 salads. Macaroni Salad, potato salad, Cole slaw, and some other salad. ALL of them were perfect! The fried foods were great and not too greasy. The employees are all friendly and real. I don't get near that area often, but will go there again when I can!
