Xi Yu Shi Fu - York

We both enjoy the food at this restaurant, especially the flavorful lamb dish. We make sure to visit every time we are in Toronto.

I recently dined at this restaurant solely for the Xinjiang Lambskewer, and I must say it did not disappoint. I would give it 4 stars based on this dish alone. The other food on the menu was also quite good. The ambiance was average, similar to other Chinese restaurants. I understand that it can be challenging to match the interior of a Western Chinese food restaurant to that of a steakhouse, but a more elegant Chinese style could still be achieved. In comparison, Cantonese restaurants tend to excel in this area. Overall, I recommend trying the lambskewer if you decide to dine here.

Xinjiang Restaurant. The lamb soup was tasty but the grilled lamb was not up to par. Disappointing experience twice.

Went here with my son a few weeks ago. Service was quick and friendly. Food was good as always. This place always seems very quiet when we go.
