Amazing experience at the beautiful Terrace at The Cliff House Maine! Unbelievable!!!

We had an awful experience here. We waited for our sodas for 40 mins, our order was incorrect, and we had no water or soda at one point. After we asked for our check and a box, it took 15 mins to get the check. Then, we waited another 20 mins to be told our gift card didn’t work. At this point we had been at the restaurant for 2.5 hours (5pm reservation, party of 3, ordered 2 apps and burgers all at the same time) and we wanted to leave as we had planned to be somewhere else between 7/7:30. I made sure to check with the front desk to check my gift card. There was a balance but apparently the server and manager didn’t know that sometimes you just have to manually enter the card numbers if the swipe isn’t working. I was told a manager would call me the next day to resolve this issue and I’m still waiting for a call. We dined on Friday night and I’m writing this review on Tuesday. As a professional server, this was to worst service I’ve maybe ever received in a restaurant.

Wondering location setting experience!!! Enjoyed the entire meal. Great croquettes, wonderful deviled eggs and hummus plate. Outside on terra w at the most glorious location on the cliffs.
