Boardwalks - York

Haven't been here in a long time. My friend suggested meeting here for lunch. She heard they had good crab cakes. Our waitress Karen was amazing! She made the dining experience even better. Of course we ordered crab cakes, but first we had crab dip- delicious. Homemade chips are good. Crab cakes were broiled to perfection. Lots of lump crabmeat. After our meal, we sat and caught up- friends x 33+ years. Then we decided to have dessert and coffee. Oh my, the warm brownie is decedent. We were at the rest for 3 hours. And no one rushed us, it was a relaxing yummy experience.

The food is delicious, with large portions. I love getting free wine, and I think it is great wine. The service is great. The waiters are friendly and very attentive. The only reason I am not giving them a 5 star rating is because the ambience is slightly lacking.... The atmosphere is adequate, just nothing special, to match the food!

Went back to Boardwalks because we wanted seafood and the other place we intended to go closed early for bad weather. We sat inside (it's January) and were the only people there. So the service was good this time. We weren't forgotten, but the other servers (not ours) were cleaning the other side of the dining room and complaining loudly while they did so. So the smell of the mop bucket was a little dominant while we ate. The food is always good. The soda was a little flat. I feel like this place is hit or miss.

My god children and I visited this restaurant 3 times in 1 week! We had two different waitresses, Evie and Taisha ! These ladies were incredible! I've never met nicer servers in my life. We also ordered a take out later that week. A sweet young gentleman named Owen took my order. He was very sweet and rushed effortlessly to fulfill my order. He was very attentive and helpful unlike his counterpart who was playing on the company iPad. I had a great service and will be coming back again with my 8 godchildren!!!! The only complaint I can fathom is the loud hoodlum music coming from the kitchen. Thank you! The Asian Sesame Salad was also great and I would recommend it to anyone. My crab cakes were rather dry!

We are always happy with our food here quality, portion size, taste. But the service has suffered over the last couple of years. We wait too long to be acknowledged and the staff rarely checks back to see if everything is okay or if we need anything. Such a shame.
