Great bacon sourdough bap. Asked for the bacon to be well done and it was. One of the best bacon baps I have had in a long time. Staff were lovely and friendly. Really enjoyed our visit.

Gorgeous sourdough bacon roll with generous serving of good quality bacon cooked really nicely. Lovely smoothy. Service was lovely. When our order was very slightly mixed up, they fixed it up without any hassle at all. Would definitely recommend and return again when next in York.

My visit to Cafe 42 was extremely positive. The service was exceptional, especially thanks to Jess who was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere of the cafe was also enjoyable. Overall, I am pleased with my experience and will definitely return.

Beautiful café by the river with cocktails on offer. Great selection of coffee and freshly prepared food. Highly recommend the Croque Madame. Warm and welcoming atmosphere in the charming city of York.

The welcome we received from the start was fantastic. The Breakfast smoothie was excellent and the coffee was also great. This restaurant is a great find and only a few minutes away from the Travelodge.
