Spud U Like - York

I visited this restaurant with my family for lunch and was disappointed by the service. The staff, who were talking behind the counter, told me that the potatoes would be ready in 10 minutes, which was fine with me. However, when I tried to place my order, I was abruptly told that I couldn't order for another 10 minutes without any explanation. This lack of customer service led me to go elsewhere for a bagel, where the staff were friendly and served with a smile. It was disappointing as I was looking forward to trying this place after the James Martin takeover. I left as a lost customer.

I visited Spud u Like at the Designer Outlet and was impressed by the friendly, helpful, and caring service from the young lady working there. The restaurant was very clean and the food was excellent - well-cooked and reasonably priced. Thank you, we will definitely be returning.

The portion of potatoes and cheese was extremely small. When we raised this issue with the staff, they informed us that the manager had instructed them to reduce portion sizes. It cost five pounds and was only a few bites.

Different and unique menu which offers variety you did not know was possible with spuds. Prices have gone up but so has the quality

Really enjoyed our jacket potato with cheese and cottage cheese. Was a perfect lunch to break up the service. Lots of seating and friendly quick service.
