Mcdonald's - York

Not the best experience again. The young gentleman who served us who I believe was shift manager, blonde hair and tall was very polite and friendly. We ordered lunch at the till the young gentleman served us. We waited and watched is wasn’t as busy as usual. After 10 mins we asked were our food was and they went to grab the bag that must of been sat there the whole ten minutes just about that we were waiting. They said our number had been called out, it hadn’t as we were stood right near the counter and our number was still on the board. We asked them to re do it and they didn’t seemed pleased, they said our number had been called and it hadn’t we were both listening out for it. They had only read 4 other numbers since we were stood there. Another girl said we called it 5 times. She wasn’t even the one who was calling them and she was to busy stood next to the warmer talking just moving the food a few centimetres after it had been passed to her. We don’t appreciate been spoken to like we are dumb! We were stood there listening out and watching everyone, again she was to busy talking so I don’t know we’re she got it had been called 5 times from. We asked for a refund, they didn’t seemed bothered. We weren’t going to pay for cold food, it was even sat on the warmer it was sat on the side. You definitely need more training and customer service management in this establishment. I can see from the comments people aren’t happy.

I went to this restaurant for dinner before heading to a concert in York. It wasn't very busy, only about 6 people in front of me. When I got to the counter to pick up my food, the staff seemed disinterested and were walking around as if half asleep. Some of the staff even got up and left. Unfortunately, all of our food was cold, especially the chips. I would have returned it, but we were running late. When I mentioned it to the shift manager, he just looked at me with a glazed expression on his face. Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences I've had.

It appeared to be closing time when I visited this restaurant. I ordered chips for my child, but they were served cold. I asked the staff for fresh chips, but after some time, they brought the same cold chips again. I'm sorry to say that I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone.

This may be the worst functioning McDonalds I’ve come across. The order machines were out of receipts so half the people didn’t know their order number. The staff stations weren’t showing orders. Half our meal was prepped then left on the side for ages as hash browns were not even in the fryer. The hash browns tasted weird like they’d been cooked in old oil. We witnessed a member of staff drop a completed meal on the floor, pick it up then go ah well and proceed to serve it!! Needed some napkins to discover most of the stations empty and had to ask behind the counter. All in all a bit of a disaster.

After lunch in Pizza Express and a walk round the Designer Outlet we decided to go to McDonalds for a McFlurry. It is years since I had been . Fortunately my son navigated the ordering and we had a lovely ice cream desert. Very good value for money.
