Bidrage med feedbackThe beer was excellent and the cozy atmosphere with two real fires was inviting. However, the food was lacking in quality and we would not dine there again. The luxury fish pie did not have enough fish and did not live up to its name. The Southern fried chicken burger was small and overcooked, tasting burnt. No one asked if we enjoyed our meals.
I visited this restaurant for the first time and had a very enjoyable experience. The two open fires made the atmosphere warm and cosy, and the decor was tastefully done. The Landlord beer and Truffler cider were both kept to a high standard. I had a delicious fish pie and my partner had a nicely spiced beef madras. The service was excellent. We will definitely be returning to this place again.
After patiently waiting to dine at Lord Collingwood, we were pleased with both the delicious food and the friendly welcome from the staff. My husband enjoyed the perfectly cooked liver, onions, and mashed potatoes, while I opted for the gammon, egg, and chips. Both dishes were cooked to perfection and suited our tastes. If you appreciate well-prepared home cooked meals, you will not be let down. We are eagerly anticipating our next visit.
Perfect food cooked beautifully large portions friendly staff and onion rings perfect definitely worth a visit
A huge thank you to Bev, landlady of the Lord Collingwood, for providing an amazing coffee morning for the ladies of Skelton WI. She provided 16 of us with a variety of wonderful cakes, sandwiches, as much tea or coffee as we could drink in a lovely pub environment. Bev was so attentive, we shall certainly be paying another visit to this lovely pub very soon.
