Costa Coffee - York

The restaurant is situated in a charming old signal box, providing a lovely atmosphere. The staff are friendly and work well as a team, creating a welcoming environment. The space is clean and pleasant. However, I must note that the photo shown is misleading, as this Costa is located at the top of two levels and does not have the outdoor seating that I expected to see.

I recently had the pleasure of trying some delicious cakes in the neighborhood near the train station in York. My experience there was wonderful, and I truly hope to return when I can travel again, especially once the pandemic is behind us.

I was waiting with friends at the train station between trains shortly after Christmas when we spotted this coffee shop on the platform. I was delighted by the cheerful demeanor of a young lady, who I believe was named Cate, especially on such a bitterly cold day. The coffee she prepared for us was top-notch. I enjoy Costa Coffee, but this barista definitely knows how to make it just right. I highly recommend stopping by when you're at York Station—an architectural gem from the 19th century. Look for the Costa counter on platform 9 and hope that Cate is the one serving you! Happy New Year to the Costa crew!

Served by Daniel He was very sweet, engaged in friendly and humourous chat. It was his first time making a mint choc chip cooler drink and I told him it was the first time I was trying it to put him at ease. It tasted the same as all the others I've had so brilliant fast thinking skills!! Will definitely return due to amazing customer service.
