Bidrage med feedbackThe food here is excellent! I ordered the Beefeater sandwich along with onion rings and carnitas fries, and both dishes were fantastic. The sandwich comes with grilled peppers that add great flavor. The onion rings were impressive too—not just a bland coating. The fries are topped with gravy, cheese, and carnitas, reminiscent of poutine, and they are absolutely delicious. I'm really glad this place has opened up, and I will definitely be returning every few months!
I absolutely loved the onion rings! For my meal, I ordered the parmesan-breaded chicken sandwich with provolone and marinara, served with coleslaw. However, I found the coleslaw to be quite bitter, so I swapped it for the onion rings. I typically don’t return food, but I just couldn't enjoy it. The marinara sauce was delicious, and the bread was nicely cooked with a sprinkle of parmesan on the outside. Unfortunately, the breading on the chicken was light but appeared to be overcooked, and the chicken itself was tough and stringy. To be fair, my friend had the same dish the night before and said their chicken was tender and flavorful. Despite my experience, I would be willing to return and try something different, hoping that my meal was just an isolated issue.
I ordered a salad, which was good, and the beer-battered fries, which were very tasty. However, the Teriyaki chicken sandwich was disappointing. It featured a thin, dry piece of chicken topped with provolone cheese and a slice of pineapple. On a positive note, the decor is quite nice, and there are at least 12 TVs on the walls, plus four more on the patio. I visited at 4:30 PM on a Friday, and there were only five people dining at that time. I'll definitely return to try something else.
Went for a late lunch around 3:00pm with my wife. She ordered what she said was a very good pastrami sandwich. I ordered the Woody?s steak sandwich claimed to be similar to a Philly Cheesesteak. It tasted OK but every bite had small inedible pieces of gristle. I kept eating the first half of the sandwich thinking the first few pieces of gristle were isolated. Nope, I finished the 1st half sandwich with a little pile of gristle on the side of my plate. Ever the optimistI took one bite of the second half but again was pulling gristle out of my mouth. When asked, ?How was your food?? I told the wonderful waitress the truth. ?Mine was awful? and explained the problem with the meat. I suggested that they notserve this to other customers or they will lose customers. A short while later the manager (per the waitress) said since I ate half they would reduce the sandwich price by 50%. No ?sorry it was so bad or thank you for bringing this to ourattention.? Plus it should have been the manager who came over to talk to me. I was not looking for a discount! The restaurant itself is nice. The menu has plenty of causal dining options and per my wife a pretty good pastrami sandwich.Our waitress was the only one working all of the tables. She did a great job. But given the manager?s indifference I?m afraid we won?t be back.
Food was good until I saw a large cockroach walking across the aisle from under our table. I notified our server immediately. She preceded to get another employee to kill the pest. This was my first time there and my last. Woody?s didn?t even discount our bill.
