La Lanterna Beer Garden - Yonkers

I visited this restaurant for the first time on Valentine's Day, and I must say, the food we ordered was quite good. Since we didn’t have a reservation, we sat at the bar. The prices for our meals were reasonable as well. I would definitely recommend this place and plan to return.

Regarding the pappardelle, it appears that, based on photos shared by others, it was previously served in a watery tomato sauce but has since transitioned to a red/pink cream sauce, which I actually prefer. However, I would suggest placing the ricotta in the oven for 30 seconds, as I didn’t enjoy the contrast of cold ricotta on top of hot pasta. As for the Carbonara, it seemed to use a sauce reminiscent of Alfredo, though I could be mistaken. There was an odd aroma, almost burnt cream or like a cream-based sauce stored in plastic before serving. I’ve had Carbonara in numerous places, and this one didn’t quite measure up. It tasted more like a less creamy Alfredo with bacon added before the sauce. On a positive note, the meatballs were surprisingly good, especially since the menu mentioned they contained mozzarella. However, I didn’t notice any mozzarella while eating, which was a bit concerning. I also felt the price was quite high for this dish—if I remember correctly, it was around $19, which seems excessive; I’d expect it to be more in the $14 range at most. Service was decent; the waiter corrected a wobbly table at my request, but I believe the tables should be stabilized beforehand to avoid spilling drinks. Additionally, the waiter didn’t check if we wanted refills, but that wasn’t a major issue. Overall, it was a successful experience, though not memorable enough to write home about. I give this place four stars for the prompt seating on a busy holiday. I appreciate that the owner personally inquired about each table's experience, and the atmosphere is lovely with its homey décor.

I had dinner with a friend tonight, and it was my first time at this restaurant. Everything was absolutely delicious! We started with Caesar salad and calamari, and I had the cavatelli with duck. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I also took a few zeppoles to go.

Loved this restaurant! This is a great date night place. Make sure your reservation with time. Waiters are all amazing and work fast. The food was delicious! We're definitely going back.

The food was surprisingly awesome! This was a recommendation from a friend and so we put it in the GPS and in the way we thought we entered the wrong address because it is located in an odd area. But we got there at 3:30 on a Sunday and there were lots of people already. The food was really amazing and we'll executed. The margarita pizza was so tasty (their sauce is really superb). Then we also got a fig prosciutto pizza that had some fresh burrata on it. As for the beer, they have some good beers, but it's not that they have a long list of craft beers from random breweries in the area. But they do have an option to drink from a boot!
