Bidrage med feedbackThe staff and family at Red Lantern restaurant truly love food. They are very accommodating to vegans, and many dishes can be made vegan upon request. The Walking Joy, Mongolian Tofu, and Thai Fried Rice are highly recommended dishes. Despite its unassuming exterior, the restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere inside.
I absolutely adore the food, staff, and family who own Red Lantern. They have a great understanding of vegan options, with the ability to veganize most dishes if needed. My favorite dishes are the Ginger Joy, Mongolian Tofu, and Thai fried rice. The atmosphere is lovely, despite the deceiving exterior.
My husband and I found ourselves in Yelm during lunchtime, feeling a bit hangry and not expecting to find a good vegan meal. The appearance of the restaurant didn't seem promising, but once we entered, we were pleasantly surprised by the classy pottery barn decor. The bathroom was clean and heated, which we appreciated. The service was quick, polite, and attentive, and they understood what vegan options were available, even accommodating for oyster sauce. Our food arrived promptly and was absolutely fantastic. The tofu spring rolls were freshly made and fried, not reheated frozen appetizers. My almond stir fry had a delicate taste with fresh vegetables, and I added some chilies and soy sauce for extra flavor. The real standout was the green curry, which we agreed was the best we had ever tasted, even compared to our travels in Thailand. The flavors were well-defined, and the dish was full of perfectly steamed vegetables. We decided that if we ever find ourselves in the area again, we will definitely make a point to dine at this restaurant. It's a new favorite for us.

My husband and I found ourselves in Yelm during lunchtime, feeling hangry and not expecting to find a good vegan meal. Despite the unassuming strip mall appearance, we were pleasantly surprised by the Pottery Barn-classy decor inside. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean and heated, which was a nice touch. The service was prompt, friendly, and accommodating to our vegan needs, even omitting oyster sauce from our stir-fry. Our order arrived quickly, and the food was absolutely fantastic. The tofu spring rolls were freshly rolled and fried, not frozen. The almond stir fry had a delicate flavor and fresh veggies, with the option to add chilies and soy sauce for extra kick. The highlight was the green curry, which we agreed was the best we had ever tasted, with a well-defined yet delicate flavor and a variety of perfectly steamed vegetables. We decided then and there to make this restaurant a regular stop whenever we travel north from our home in Portland. Overall, a new favorite spot for us.
