Good little caffe. had a cup of tea, a scorp with cream and jam a piece of cake. the triangular pane of the cake was delicious. Chocolate top and a sticky/cury basic. handmade chocolate for sale. many different options of the dinge that are added to the chocolate and chocolate form. birds outside enjoyed a small piece of scones. they were very brave.
The Chocolate Drops is located in the stunning Janchep National Park. The setting is very picturesque and they offer delicious homemade food and coffee. Their handmade chocolates are a real treat, I highly recommend trying the Rocky Road!
I was extremely disappointed with the service my friends and I received at Chocolate Drops today. We waited for 30 minutes for our drinks and scone, only to be met with yelling when we asked about our order. After another 10 minutes, our drinks finally arrived with the staff member accusing us of lying about the wait time. Despite showing proof of our order time, the staff member continued to deny the delay and was very confrontational. The cafe was empty at the time, making the experience even more disappointing. The quality of the drinks and scones did not make up for the poor service. Just because the cafe is located in a National Park and always busy, does not excuse the lack of respect and pride in their work towards customers.
We last visited this cafe just about a year ago, that time we gave it 3 stars. It has an idyllic setting and a fairly picturesque exteria, they also serve excellent ice-cream. Sadly, that is where the good points stop. Our daughter and granddaughter had...a can of drink between them and an ice-cream apiece, the quality of which scraped them 1 star. Waiting time has always been an issue here, as is the 'smile and politeness bypass operation ' that seems to be a mandatory requirement for employment here. This time they excelled themselves and, after waiting half an hour for a milkshake and an iced coffee, my wife and I gave up in disgust, asked for our money back, which was given with Ill grace, and left. Our worst experience in an otherwise very hospitable visit to W.A. Our advice is to enjoy the park but give this place a miss. I
