We've been hearing about this place for almost as long as I can remember caring about restaurants. It's located in kind of an odd spot in between a couple of one way thoroughfares near downtown. My brother and I decided we need to check this place out for lunch one random Monday! It's very literally a bar that opens early and has chosen to focus on making food that doesn't suck. At 11:30 on a Monday there's what I suspect was The usual crowd there of about 10 or 12 folks largely having the special of the day and a bud light or two. We decided to try the chicken fried steak sandwich and for the #WashingtonBurgerQuest decided to try the double Dutch burger. This burger was an absolute beast! Basically double everything add ham, and egg and grill the bun up right this was an amazing burger! Honestly, it was probably big enough for three people and was almost too big to fit in my hand. The chicken fried steak sandwich was also quite good and I found the tater tot's were better than expected! A nice added bonus. The service was excellent and the people that were also dining here were very nice. We had some great conversations with the folks next to us and left full in belly and soul! They've really upped their game here and it shows. This is great divey bar with excellent food and a lot of personality! Worth stopping in, at least for lunch!
I had seen so many posts about The Dutch that I was really excited about trying it, so my friend and I had lunch there recently. It was a Wednesday, so I ordered the special hot turkey sandwich (which is the reason I wanted to go there in the first place, and my friend had the club sandwich and a house salad. It's really a fun sports bar with food, so it's a +21 place. The whole place is clean and spotless. There's a fun and friendly atmosphere, the customers there must be regulars as many of them know each other, which I liked. And the staff must be doing it right, because in the hour we were there, there was a steady stream of customers The servers are really good at their job; they're friendly and attentive. The portions are big my plate was too much for me to finish, and my friend ate her house salad, which was larger than the normal house salad, and ended up taking most of her sandwich home. So if you're looking for a friendly sports bar that serves much more than the normal bar food, I suggest you give The Dutch a try.
My food was not that good : My Pepsi was water down And they don't offer miller lite beer
Went to little dutch inn tonight after work. Sat at the bar (not busy at all) waited for 15 minutes for our first drinks after me and my coworker got off work. We're bartenders and work in the industry. No big deal. But we got paid zero attention from the original bartender (older lady) for the rest of the night. Daisha who was supposed to be done for the night got our next 2 rounds. Then she left. We sat at the bar for over 30 minutes after just trying to cash out without anyone behind the bar. I even obnoxiously said is there a bartender working? She still ignored us when we were trying to cash out. If you don't want my money or don't want to do your job or don't want a good tip. we'll leave and that's what we did
