The Golden Ball - Wyre

Sadly we had to attend the local crematorium for a funeral but afterwards the wake was held at this venue. The food was fab, the staff were lovely and looked after us very well and sensitively. Having a sectioned off area for our party worked really well. A lovely pub all round, nice and cosy and tastefully trimmed up for Christmas. Thanks to all the team looking after us and making the day run smoothly!

We stopped for a bite with hungry kids. Food was good and staved off the hanger; the service, however, was really excellent. Hannah is an impressively accomplished bar manager who greeted and served the growing number of guests with aplomb.

I have been coming to the Golden Ball for many years and I am never disappointed. There is always such a welcoming and warm atmosphere whenever I visit, the staff can never do enough for you and always remember us every time we come back especially Hannah on the bar. The food is always brilliant quality and great value for money whatever we order and is always served with a smile. It's a great place to stop in for something substantial and affordable on the Fylde and I always recommend it for those asking for somewhere that will fit everyone's taste and budget. Made to feel very welcome and staff were friendly. Our table was clean and our food arrived promptly (there were 6 of us). The food was hot, well presented and tasty. Staff came over to make sure everything was to our liking (which it was) and then left us to eat our meal (perfect service). Will definitely return often.
