Alma - Wynyard Quarter New Zealand

Late posting but we came here on a Monday night in January and it happened to be our last night in NZ. We had finished a meeting at the office of our NZ colleague in Britomart and we wandered around trying to figure out where to eat but the area looked completely dead since it was a Monday. We stumbled upon this place and they happily accommodated us and seated us at a table facing the street. I recommend this table since you are sitting side-by-side. Everything was tasty but the most memorable item was hands down the anchovy tomato tostada. Sure it was a bit salty but with vino and sherry it completed the picture!

I've heard this place keeps winning awards for its dishes. So, finally, I got a chance to experience it myself. And I was not disappointed. It deserves all the credit, delicious, tasty Spanish dishes. a bit pricy, in my opinion, but definitely worth it. My favorit dishes are: Anchovy tomato tostada that was creamy and salty and crusty with some sweetness from the tomato. and the Lamb, tahina, spinach which was tender and melting in the mouth. defiantly recommend the Bay flan if you enjoy experimenting with flavors. I know I did.

Very special, lovely dinner, the staff are so friendly, the food is outstanding. This is the sister restaurant to Amano, have brunch there then dinner here.

Wow what an amazing find! This is the place you MUST try if you are visiting the city. The food was fantastic highly recommend the anchovy tostada! Freaking delicious! The service was exceptional, you are always well looked after but still get to enjoy the food and wine privately. Will definitely come back next time we are in Auckland.

A great modern take on Spanish tapas. Killer wine selection all from Spain. Amazing and very knowledgeable staff. Food was balance. Simple yet amazing flavors that make you want to stay and continue on the food journey. Highly recommend!
