The Potting Shed - Wychavon

We used to love the self-service breakfast, which was very popular until COVID hit. They understandably switched to an ordering system when they reopened, but they also increased their prices significantly. We visited this morning for the first time in 18 months, and we found that ordering was still the only option, with prices even higher than before. The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived at 9:45. This will be our last visit. £17 for two sausage sandwiches and a cup of tea is too steep, and the crusts on the bread were quite hard. This is a garden center, not a high street restaurant.

We visited for an early lunch on the third Wednesday of July. We ordered two flat whites, a coronation chicken sandwich on white bread, and a jacket potato filled with coronation chicken. Everything looked great, and the coronation chicken was really tasty. The jacket potato had a lovely crispy skin, but the white bread wasn’t as fresh as it had been during our previous visits, and I’m not sure if it had been buttered. The customer service was friendly and helpful.
