Wurtzburg - Würzburg

Another visit to this hotel and restaurant, this time with our family. Cozy, Bavarian decor. Excellent, well-prepared German food including schnitzels and wild game goulash. White asparagus during the season, yum! Good Franken wines, beer, and they know how to prepare a good Hugo for...which the waiter was gracious enough to write down the recipe for me. Next time in Wurzburg we will be back!

What a beautiful city! They have it all! A stunning castle, a UNESCO heritage palace, resplendent churches and a charming downtown. Less than an hour from Rothenburg or Frankfurt, put this city on your itinerary.

Well-prepared dishes including the goulash soup, Cordon Bleu, and incredible fresh chanterelles. Charming inside seating in Bavarian-style dining room, but on a hot day the outside tables with a view of the parking lot were more comfortable. Good Franken wines.

I wanted to have a day trip so I chose Wurtzburg .It will take u an hour or two to just see the very few attractions and that is all ,if u wanna visit Wurtzburg just plan a short stop and don't waste your whole...day there ..

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Strauss for two nights. This restaurant is attached to the hotel. We ate here our first day and the food was very good. The wait staff was nice. The girl who helped us spoke English and helped...translate the menu. Most of the patrons in the restaurant were locals who sat chatting for long periods of time. Our bill for two meals and 4 biers was 48 Euro. During our hotel stay, our breakfasts were served in this restaurant. The breakfasts were terrific with every thing one could possibly want for a breakfast. We recommend this restaurant.
