Asda Living Cafe - Wrexham

This review is focused solely on the coffee at this cafe. Although I don't typically eat the type of food served here, I do appreciate good coffee. I was pleased with the quality of the coffee, though I forgot where it came from. It was not the usual "Seattle's Best" brand that I have seen in other places like Asda. I prefer my coffee to be dry, similar to a tannic red wine. I am still on the hunt for my perfect cup of coffee, but this one was quite good.

I went to this restaurant with a friend for lunch during her break. When we first arrived, it appeared disorganized. It took some time for someone to acknowledge us and take our order. The serving area was extremely messy, with spills and used items scattered around. The seating area was also a mess, with tables not cleared and clutter everywhere. If I had noticed the state of the restaurant before ordering, I would not have eaten there. The food looked unappetizing, but it tasted decent considering the environment. I doubt I will return to this restaurant due to the lack of cleanliness and organization. I do not recommend it.

Very basic quick snack stop. Tables and chairs very utilitarian and very close together so movement is difficult when it is busy. Food and coffee are OK. In quiet periods no one seems to staff the counter but there is a bell to ring for service which is responded to quite quickly.

I visited George for a quick lunch while shopping with my daughter. Unfortunately, the food options were very limited with only white bread sandwiches available. I decided to order a jacket potato with cheese and ham filling, but was disappointed with what arrived on my plate. The dish consisted of just one jacket potato, a plastic pot of grated cheese, a plastic pot of shredded ham, three wilted lettuce leaves, and a slice or two of tomato. The meal was incredibly dry and unappealing, prompting me to leave the food uneaten on the plate. I was shocked by the poor quality of the food and will not be returning to George in the future.

The staff is very friendly and the coffee and snack are decent. Even though the restaurant is located upstairs, there is a sufficient lift to access the first floor as well as the toilets.
