Bidrage med feedbackAfter we had taken my 84-year old vater to lunch in the south pavilion on the worthing pier, we stopped in the dome vintage team room for refreshment and cake. it was during the beautiful early period of hot weather. as the pictures show, the “divine” feeling is led to everything and the personal could not have been more helpful and attentive. first they offer table service that is wonderful when a lot of service along the front is “self service at the bar”. also a cool wind started and there were no damps that pushed us from outside onto a warm table in us – what to be honest is much more interesting and you can still see the window! two lattes, a normal coffee with milk and an breakfast tea were ordered together with a disc date fudge cake and ohrl gray teacake. all very good and exactly what the doctor ordered and at £15 all in no bad price. the quirkiness all was a good focus on the talks how the latte was served in half a pint becher, brought memories back to pubs for my vater and his national service days. also the bones treated antique forks reminded my mother of the dinner service they got as a high-time gift over 50 years ago. if they are inclined for an alcoholic drink, they can go to the dome cinema where they find the “projectionist’s bar” that is open for non-cinema goers during the cinema hours and is a great chance to see this wonderful building. it is a pretty wonderful edwardian cinema that was opened for the first time in april 1911, which has now been completely restored – a full-time job to keep it so, we think! we will definitely see a movie there again. on their website it says that 1987 the dome in david lelands critical hit wish you were here' was presented in the main role emily lloyd and tom bell with a large part of the film in the dome, with screen 1, the box office, the projection room and the dome itself. if they liked this review, they like it!
Tee tastes so much better in china. beautiful cup, excellent teacake and crumb. very friendly service. recommended!
The restaurant provided excellent and friendly service, with all necessary Covid protocols in place such as test and trace and hand sanitizer. The tables were placed well apart for social distancing. Three of us ordered toasted tea cakes, which were a good size and had a delicious spiced flavor. The cafe's quirky atmosphere added to the enjoyment of our afternoon tea. Overall, we all had a great experience and will certainly return in the future.
The tea room is charming. I decided to treat my mom to tea and cake on a whim. The menu advertised a high tea option with scones, cream, and jam from 2-5pm, but we arrived just before 12. I inquired if they could still accommodate us, and the lady kindly agreed to prepare the same deal for us. We were thrilled. They served proper tea with a strainer, which amused my 16-year-old. My mom was delighted. The prices on the menu were very reasonable, and we would definitely come back.
Enjoyed a MOST delicious Goat Cheese salad . Then ice cream. The silver teapots and crockery are my grandparents era so it was lovely. Good value
