The Sea House - Worthing

A friend and I stopped by this restaurant after enjoying food and drinks at a nearby location and wanted another drink with a different view. At first, we passed by the restaurant but after checking Google Maps, we turned back and found a small sign pointing us towards the stairs of the pool club. The staircase looked a bit worn, but once we reached the bar, we were greeted with a nice setting and a great view of the pier and ocean. We weren't sure if we needed to order at the bar or if there was table service. When my friend went to the bar, we were informed that it was bar service only (which was different from past TripAdvisor reviews), but since it was just us and one other table, the staff member kindly offered to bring our cocktails over once they were prepared. We each had one cocktail and enjoyed them. I didn't experience any of the negatives that other reviewers have mentioned. If the weather is nice and you're looking for a drink with a view, it's worth a visit. It's a hidden gem for enjoying a drink outdoors.

Awful experience. The restaurant was not following Covid regulations and the tables were covered in ash and dirt from previous customers. They need to step up their cleanliness protocols, especially during a pandemic. The service was so slow that I thought about singing Christmas carols to pass the time. Our afternoon was completely ruined.

Went today advised table service only brillliant COVID compliant. Next hour the roof terrace got busier. Finished our drinks and awaited 40 minutes for table service, so went to the bar area and asked at 3+metres any chance of 2 more pints for table x. Response was barked across the bar it’s table service only we’ll be out shortly. Taking into account we waited 40 minutes. Recommendation to the bar close off more tables so you can manage them or get more staff. The most worrying aspect was as the terrace got busier COVID compliance went out the window people wandering around with no mask/ tables of 9 adults plus children. I have reported this appropriately. Profits must come before customer safety!

Staff unfriendly and so slow at coming around to order drinks picking people that they are friends with . Music is shocking only welcome for under 20s dirty tables full of fag ash chavs with tops off .

Such a lovely place to sit eat in the sun, entrance a bit shabby smelly but nice outside. The food menu is good, although seems all is deep fat fried and greasy. The rooftop definitely sells it over the food
