Bidrage med feedbackUsed to be great food. My order was rubbery and tasteless. The only thing that was reasonably tasty was the fried rice. Never again.
This was a truly good little Chinese, however I would say since it was taken over, the cooks must have changed because the food is OK but not what I would say anywhere near as good as it was. :
My family and I have been eating at this restaurant for over 20 years..... We’ve also eaten at other local Chinese establishments....but time and again we come back to Sun Seng. Food is outstanding and staff uber friendly. Love this restaurant....highly recommended.
There was nobody in the restaurant when we arrived, which should have been a warning sign. A group of six of us ordered chicken satay and spring rolls for starters. The spring rolls were burnt and small, and tasted awful. The chicken satay was served with large pieces of chicken on skewers, which was unappetizing. The satay sauce was orange and tasted like low-quality packaged food. The chicken was tough and chewy, prompting me to spit it out. The main dishes were just as disappointing, so I ended up ordering some chips instead of trying the fried rice or other dishes. The chips were also terrible. Not only was the food bad, but it was also extremely overpriced at $280 for our group of six. This was by far the worst dining experience my husband and I have had, and we are in our late 50s. The lack of proper lighting, soap, and hand towels in the restroom was disgusting, especially during the pandemic. The staff did not inquire about our meal, which was probably for the best. We will never be returning to this restaurant. It's no surprise that it was completely empty.
This used to be a favorite restaurant for us and many others. As a group, we were excited to visit again after not going for 5 years. Some mentioned it was not as good anymore, but we decided to go back based on our great memories. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The food is now just average and lacks the "wow" factor it used to have. The service was still pleasant and they remembered us, but the food was the main issue. The prawn toast and special fried rice were below our expectations. Sadly, it seems like the restaurant has lost its touch. We will wait for reviews that show an improvement before considering going back. Apologies.
