Shaffer's Catering And Deli - Woodstock

We had Shaffers Cater for our wedding. The food was great! We did a tasting prior to selecting them and got to meet Georgia, Debbie, and Billy. They were all kind people who worked with us to plan the perfect wedding meal. As a vegetarian bride, I was a bit worried about going with a BBQ place but they make AMAZING vegetables! Our guest also loved the stuffed chicken. At the end of the night, they asked if they could donate the leftover food to to a local shelter and of course I said yes! Great people, great food.

Working with Georgia was a pleasure; she communicated effectively and assisted us in managing not just the main courses, but also desserts, linens, plasticware, and our bartender. She was very accommodating with additional requests and coordinated effortlessly with other vendors in the lead-up to our big day. The service during dinner was outstanding as well. The friendly and efficient catering team ensured everyone was well-fed and had a drink in hand at all times! The food was delicious, and we had plenty of leftovers to enjoy afterward. Thanks to the crew at Schaffer’s, our wedding day went off without a hitch! They also have a fantastic storefront/deli where you can purchase their food and hot meals. Highly recommend!

A very good restaurant. I was working in the woodstock area for a few years ago and got take out lunch almost everyday. Affordable, good, and realistic.

I've been a regular at this place for years, but I'm not sure I'll be returning. The BBQ has really declined, and that was what made this restaurant stand out for me. On the bright side, the Chicken Salad is still tasty. However, the cookies they claim are homemade don't live up to that label; I tried the Chocolate Chip cookie yesterday, and it reminded me more of store-bought cookies from Walmart. While there are still some positive aspects, the lack of acknowledgment from the staff when I walked in was disappointing. I don't expect them to hover over me, but a simple greeting or an offer to assist would have been nice. I really miss how great this location used to be.

Every meal here is fantastic. The BBQ chicken is delicious, and we really enjoy the broccoli salad as well!
