Kestrel Vintners - Woodinville

As we walked in the door at the Woodinville location, we were not welcomed, and the Italian man in charge was sitting at the door. He did not even say hello. I had spoken to Alyssa about holding a reception there, so we wanted to check the place outWhen he followed us in, we inquired about the reception we are planning. He acted like we were foolish to thinksuch a thing. We weren’t offered a tasting, we weren’t treated with kindness or even respect.Their loss, as we continued on to 4 other tasting rooms and tasted, bought, and now will hold our reception at one of the others.Strange

Jasmine at the Leavenworth Kestrels was AMAZING!!! So personal, so kind. Above and beyond service! 10/10 recommend to a friend. I hope to see her again the next time I visit Leavenworth

Wonderful little find in the warehouse district. Super cheap flights $10) that you get to pick your wine. This is rare! Everything we tasted was good with a few true standouts. The Malbec was the red winner $45 bottle) and a surprise find Frizzante $21 bottle) was delicious if you're a fan of cavas. We will definitely be back for another round of tastings so many options to choose) and a glass or two on the outdoor patio. A must visit in Woodinville.

Tastes differ, so my 2-star rating of this wine should not deter you from trying it, because you might really like it. Here's what I didn't like about the Kestrel 2014 Cabernet Franc, a bottle of which we bought in 2021. If you like the taste of a Seven Seven, you may love this wine. But I don't like my wines to remind me of whisky. I like dry and semi-dry reds with berry flavors. If there's oak, it should be old oak, not new oak, and very well-integrated, adding a slight vanilla creaminess to the taste.

They offer an excellent variety of wines, and the tasting itself is well organized, providing valuable information for each pour.
