Good News Restaurant And Bar - Woodbury

I ordered the short ribs meal. They brought out bread that was delicious. The waitress was nice. But 3/4 of the way through the short ribs I was chewing on something that was inedible. I thought it was a piece of bamboo because it looks like bamboo. I set it aside and a few bites later got another one. I looked around the dish for more. At this point i was not hungry anymore and asked for the waitress. I explained What happened and asked for the check. She said she was not going to charge me and took the pieces away. She came back and said they were butchers twine. It did not look like twine to me so I paid and left. See the photo and you judge. I guess leaving twine or whatever it was in a meal that they charge top dollar for is acceptable. I won’t be back.

Carole's food and menu are outstanding. Jonn controls the bar crowd and tables and remembers what you like to eat and drink and gets it done pronto.

Great menu. Fresh food. Antelope burger special. Vegan. Gluten free. Outdoor area. Exciting drinks menu. Worth the effort to stop.

Felt very rushed, which did not make for a enjoyable meal. Food a bit above average but not much, especially considering the prices and atmosphere. They want to turn their tables as fast as they can with no regard for the customer. Service was average, atmosphere not much. Second time there will not be back

Wow we went to dinner at 3:30 pm and the place was full. We were told that we had to sit in the bar because the bartender was the only one serving tables, although tables in the other parts of the restaurant were filled. Our dinner orders were quickly taken and the food arrived soon after with no offer of bread. We finally asked for it but it was never delivered. The food was so so, my polenta eggplant dish had nearly raw vegetables on it. Raw eggplant is not so good. So disappointed. We will not be back.
