Pho Mama (woodbridge)

This is my third visit, and I'm consistently impressed with the quality of their food. While they often run out of certain menu items, the excellent service and high standards have always remained a constant.

I ordered a Tom Yum noodle soup with vermicelli and a Sate pho for takeout. I would rate the Tom Yum soup base 3 stars and the Sate soup base 5 stars. Unfortunately, the noodles were overcooked and stuck together, so I can only give them 2 stars. Overall, I’d rate my experience 3 stars.

I decided to give this restaurant a try since it's close to my home. I ordered the Broken Rice dish with grilled chicken and a fried egg. Unfortunately, the piece of chicken was quite small! Compared to other pho places, the portion sizes here are definitely on the smaller side, especially for the price. The food tasted decent, but I left feeling hungry. After spending $16, I shouldn't still be hungry.

The restaurant offers excellent customer service and is very kid-friendly. They provided my daughter with an adorable bowl and utensil set. However, I ordered offal porridge, and I found it to be quite bland and watery. The owner kindly apologized and replaced my dish without any extra charge. The food is generally good, although the portion sizes have been reduced slightly, which doesn’t bother me. I completely understand that small businesses are facing challenges during this Covid era.

We have visited Pho Mama several times, and we can't praise the food enough. We've tried the saté beef rice noodle soup, lemongrass beef vermicelli, pho, and goat curry with vermicelli, and all of it has been incredibly delicious. The service is consistently excellent and friendly, and the restaurant has a bright and airy atmosphere. The restrooms are also very clean. We look forward to returning very soon!
