However, when I got there, I found at least six employees standing around the register but no one actually attending to the customers. After waiting until 7:15, one staff member finally came to retrieve an order, but when I asked about mine, she simply informed me it wasn’t ready and then hurried off to the bar. I ended up waiting an additional 25 minutes without any food, and when I spoke to another employee, I found out that my order had been lost. Over an hour and a half after placing my order, and having stood there for 40 minutes, I finally received my food from the first staff member I spoke to, who handed it to me without any apologies or acknowledgment of the delay. However, the situation took a turn for the better when the on-site manager approached me at my request. He took the time to explain what had happened, apologized sincerely, and compensated me for the inconvenience. He genuinely made an effort to make things right and improve my experience. Although I didn’t catch his name, I recognized him as someone who has been there for five years. As a frequent customer of the Woodbridge Bonchon, I am grateful for his attentiveness, and this has solidified my loyalty to the restaurant. Thank you.
Bon Chon is a bit pricey, but they do have lunch specials and combo deals. Unfortunately, my mother and I didn’t notice these offers on the menu, so we ended up paying full price. The food is absolutely delicious, and I particularly enjoy the Daikon and radish they serve on the side. The aromas of the fried chicken are a delightful mix of spices, soy sauce, and garlic. A significant portion of their business seems to come from delivery services like Uber Eats, Grub Hub, and Door Dash, which have become increasingly popular during the Covid-19 pandemic. While we were there, we noticed a few delivery drivers in the restaurant. We also saw our friend Anna Acolatse, who works there; she is the daughter of our church's priest in DC. Compared to a Chinese restaurant, Bon Chon is more affordable, but it is definitely pricier than fast-food chains like Burger King or Wendy's. They have a variety of menu items, but I believe the roasted chicken is their most popular dish.
