Bidrage med feedbackWhat compelled me to write this review today is the outstanding customer service I received from the on-site managers during my visit. I had placed an online order for 6:35 and arrived for my 7:05 pickup time. Upon arrival, I noticed at least six staff members hanging around the register, while no one was actually attending to customers and they were instead gathered around the bar. It wasn't until 7:15 that someone finally came to help with orders. I asked about mine, only to be told curtly that it wasn't ready, and then the employee left to go back to the bar. I waited another 25 minutes without receiving any food and approached another employee, who informed me that my receipt had been lost and that she would "rebuild" my order. After an hour and a half from when I first placed the order, and having stood waiting for 40 minutes, I finally received my meal from the first team member I spoke with. Unfortunately, there was no apology or explanation given. However, what happened next impressed me greatly. The on-site manager approached me upon my request, took the time to explain the situation, offered a sincere apology, and compensated me for the inconvenience. He truly cared about my experience and went above and beyond to make it right, which made me feel valued as a customer. Although I didn’t catch his name, I recognized him as someone I’ve seen working there for the past five years. As a frequent patron of the Bonchon in Woodbridge, I’m grateful for his dedication, and because of him, I will continue to be a loyal customer. Thank you!
Bon Chon is on the pricier side, but they do offer lunch specials and combo deals. Unfortunately, my mother and I didn’t notice those options on the menu and ended up paying full price. The food, however, is absolutely delicious. I especially love the Daikon and radishes they serve on the side. The aroma of the fried chicken combines spicy notes with soy sauce and garlic, making it truly tempting. A significant portion of their business comes from delivery services like Uber Eats, Grub Hub, and Door Dash, which have become quite popular for fast food restaurants, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. During our visit, we even spotted a few delivery drivers in the restaurant. We also ran into our friend Anna Acolatse, who works there; she’s the daughter of the priest from our church in DC. While Bon Chon is more affordable than a Chinese restaurant, it’s certainly pricier than places like Burger King or Wendy's. They have a variety of menu items, but I believe the roasted chicken is their most popular dish.
