We told the staff about her illness and they went over and above to take care of her needs and to make her visit a really special one. Massive thank you to the staff and especially Dani Hannigan who went over and above! Very much appreciated!
I was pleasantly surprised during my return visit to the club. Our group of friends tried various dishes on the menu and everyone loved their meal. I ordered the seafood plate, which was beautifully presented and delicious. We will definitely return as the staff are friendly and make excellent coffee.
Visited recently and was pleasantly surprised. The furniture is a little dated but the food was great. We shared a salmon nicoise as an entree, light fresh and well done, I had a main special of lamb fillet, soft polenta, eggplant ragout and salsa verde, it was a pretty good dish. The wife had a crispy skin barramundi fillet also very good. Service was good and friendly and the view out over the golf course to the ocean was lovely. Probably helped that it was a beautiful day. I'd go back again now that I know it's there.
Drove down from Sydney with the girls and spent the day in Wollongong. Was told by another friend to check out the golf club due to the amazing view and wasn't disappointed! We ended up staying for lunch and got a variety of meals and shared them, absolutely delicious! Going to take my parents and granddad here as soon as we are all free!
A group of four of us, including members of a Professional Theatre in NZ and one of us in a lead role in the current Disney production of "ALADDIN" in Sydney, met at your restaurant on January 24th. We not only had lunch, but we stayed for dinner as well. It was a special 'catch-up' time for us after many years apart. One of our group is now a Wollongong resident and a member of your club. We were so impressed with the service, atmosphere, and location that we returned on February 21st. Once again, we had lunch and stayed for dinner. The Manageress, Danni, was exceptional and went above and beyond to accommodate us. We received complimentary chocolate fingers, a bowl of wedges, and a round of drinks with our dinner. We have never been treated so well elsewhere and we are planning to return on Tuesday, March 14th. Unfortunately, Danni will be away, and it will also be the last time our group will all be together as "ALADDIN" ends its season in Sydney on March 26th before moving to Melbourne. However, the local Club member and two of us will continue to have 'catch-up' lunches/dinners at your club at least once a month in the near future. Our Best Wishes to all at Wollongong Golf Club. We may even join the club, even though we have never played golf before. Two of us live in Sydney but have connections to the 'Gong and are members of the Masters Builders Club as well.
