Sweet Chilli - WIRRAL

We have been choosing this curry delivery service for over twenty years, since they were known as Poulton Tandoori. We have tried other places as new ones open, but none have ever lived up to this one.

As someone who comes from an area of the midlands well known for it’s Indian takeaways, restaurants and balti houses, I can say that I’ve found this establishment to be one of only two, (so far), takeaways on Wirral who can make British Asian food to the correct standards. The food always arrives warm, the poppadoms are always fresh and the cooking is top notch. I have only one complaint, hence four stars instead of five: please, please, please stop putting chillis in the baltis! If I want something that strong I’ll order a madras but I like my balti onion based. A great place place though, throughly recommended.

The takeaway meal was absolutely amazing and surprisingly affordable. The service was excellent, with prompt delivery. The food was delicious and arrived hot.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. Initially, I received the wrong food and had to wait even longer to get the correct order. When I called to inform them of the mistake, the staff had an attitude. The rice was cold and the Korma was surprisingly spicy. The chicken chat was just okay, but overall it was a waste of time and money. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

Ordered yesterday and the pakora were soggy and drenched in oil, the Bahji were tasteless, the one popadom was stale and the pasanda had gone bad and you could see where the cream had split. Called them and basically the chef told me to shove it. Disgusting! Will never order from there again!
