Peppers Garden Grill - Winthrop

I wanted to order nearly everything on the menu during my visit on a Friday night, but they were out of almost all of it. This experience felt very unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time and money here.

This was probably the worst dining experience I've ever had. We waited 10 minutes for the hostess to acknowledge our presence and seat us. When we were finally shown to our table, it was dirty. The food was terrible! We ordered the steak burrito and chimichanga, but what we received was essentially pot roast wrapped in a tortilla and topped with canned vegetables. To make matters worse, we even found a mysterious piece of pepperoni in the dish. The side of rice tasted like it had been made a week ago. I'm honestly worried we might end up with food poisoning. Perhaps Mexican cuisine isn’t their specialty, but either way, we won’t be returning to figure it out.

We entered the restaurant with low expectations, but we were pleasantly surprised by both the service and the delicious food. The fajitas for two were under $20 and absolutely worth it! We can’t wait for our next visit; we just wish they were open on Sundays.
