Real Q - Winston-Salem

Had an amazing time! The people were friendly and the food is authentic and amazing. Just relocated here from the South West and was really wanting to try Carolina’s amazing BBQ. I was not disappointed

Same great taste, same great people! We love buying the sauce so we can have it on homemade bbq, but it doesn't come close to the chopped pork at Real Q!!

We ordered takeout from this restaurant. The cashier was not very friendly or attentive. However, the food was absolutely delicious. The fried fish and okra were cooked perfectly. The restaurant space seemed a bit cramped and worn down, but we ended up eating at home. Overall, we would give the food a perfect 5 out of 5 rating.

I ordered the chopped sandwich and it was delicious, with a noticeable smoky flavor. The fried okra was also good. The ladies working behind the counter were very friendly. Overall, I would rate the food 5 out of 5.

I'm not sure how we have overlooked this hidden gem so many times during our visits to Winston, but I'm glad we finally discovered it. I am quite particular when it comes to BBQ, and this place definitely exceeded my expectations. The food was served quickly and was very satisfying. It reminded me of the BBQ restaurant my family used to own. It's difficult to find a truly great BBQ spot these days, but this place passed both mine and my husband's test. We are looking forward to returning and trying more dishes.
