Bidrage med feedbackPan Asian is a charming little gem. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by a small bar, and then there's another room with tables and a sushi bar. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about vegetarian options, which helped me make some good choices. The sushi and General Tso's tofu were both fantastic, and the portions were generous. I will definitely return when I'm in North Carolina!
Before I hung up, I asked if I could switch to a different, less expensive dish, just to get something quick because I couldn’t eat those terrible noodles. When I got to the restaurant and showed them the dish with onions, they outright denied that there were any onions in it, even though I was staring at them. They refused to take the food back and wouldn't let me switch my order unless I paid for a new one. Most frustratingly, they also refused to give me a refund. So, I ended up driving 20 minutes in the cold for nothing, and I'm still hungry. Overall, a very disappointing experience.
The stars I gave are solely based on the food. I hate reviewing based on service but I think since it was a restaurant wide thing, it needs to be out there. Went for a late lunch and we were the only ones in there. Waited around 7 minutes for the waitress to even come up to us. There were two people up front that worked there that were in a heated argument about a delivery order. I know this because they walked around the entire restaurant screaming at each other and into the phone so while we were entertained to watch it, we were also hungry and couldn't even find the waitress. I mean, it was so bad that we actually just walked up to the sushi bar and got our own food because no one was running it. We even had to go up to someone else and ask if anyone could come help us. For the only people in the place, this is just ridiculous. The sushi though! It was beautiful, delicious and presented at perfection! I had the green tea roll and it was so amazing. I couldn't tell you why its named the green tea roll other than its green on the outside from avocado laid on it but if I go back, I will be ordering it again. I also got the spicy California roll which was ok; I feel it was over done for a simple roll. Their chef special rolls are BOGO 50%. They also have a great lunch special of 3 rolls for $12 but they are very plain, simple rolls. My friend had egg drop soup that was superb. The spring roll was really tiny but ok. Japanese dumpling soup was a no from me. I feel like I should try here again just so they can redeem themselves from whatever disaster they were dealing with but I may go at a regular eating time so they realize they have customers.
The spring roll, priced at $1.50, was quite underwhelming, as it was nearly the size of my thumb—two for that price would have felt more reasonable. The avocado salad ($5.95) featured thinly sliced avocado on a bed of iceberg lettuce, which was pleasant, but it came with ranch dressing instead of the ginger dressing I expected. The shrimp and broccoli ($15) had a generous amount of shrimp, although it was mostly tail, and the sauce was unique with a slightly sweet flavor. The Singapore noodles ($10) were lacking in shrimp and chicken, and the curry flavor was mild (but you can adjust the heat level). The crab Rangoon were tasty, but they would have been significantly better if they were delivered hot and crispy—something that's often a risk with delivery on a busy Friday night.
Went for lunch today. I had the Three Musketeers and the spicy Rainbow Roll, both are chef speciality rolls. Here you buy one and get the other half off. My wife had the bento box and loved everything it came with. But back to the sushi; fresh, flavorful and absolutely delicious are perfect ways to describe. This was our first time here and we thought the food, drinks, atmosphere, and staff were all fantastic. We will definitely be making this place a regular and look forward to trying new options!
