El Cortijo - WINOOSKI

The ambience is great and the food is great. Miles better than downtown. I wanted to give them 5 stars, but the drinks could be more tasteful and lazy. The drink was a white rum and pineapple drink that didn't have enough pineapple juice. Note how close it resembles the water.

Food was excellent, drinks were great and the staff was super friendly. The ingredients were very fresh. The whole thing is dishonest.

Fresh tacos with unique ingredients, including several vegetarian options. I had one with sweet potatoes, pea shoots and another bean taco with black beans and rice. House-Margarita was good, too. Not cheap, but good quality ingredients and excellent service.

We've been here several times now and it never fails to live up to our expectations. We love the chips and queso, the chicken flautas, the churros, the spicy brownie, and the margaritas. The staff is incredibly accommodating as we typically drop in without a reservation and are happily seated with very little wait. Excellent food, fun location, and great staff. What more can you ask for?!

I started ordering from this restaurant after the pandemic started, so I can only speak to the take-out experience, but my food is always ready quickly and within the estimated pickup time. Food has been fantastic every time! Especially love the camote rice bowl and red salsa. Also appreciate that they send a text as soon as the food is ready- helps avoid confusion and keeps people from gathering inside while waiting for orders.
