Bidrage med feedbackThis restaurant has a very relaxed atmosphere. I will always remember the spicy and savory flavors in the vegan Mexican dish. The potatoes, sweet potatoes, guacamole, beans, tomatoes, and other ingredients all tasted fresh. The spicy sauce complemented the rest of the meal well. I also suggest trying the Tofu Scramble. The tofu was delicious and the bread freshly baked. The service was slow, and I believe it would be more efficient with more servers. However, the staff were polite and helpful.
I 'm really, really loathe to have to write this because I 've been coming to Stellas for years and their food is amazing but their service is so lousy I have to speak up. This is the second time I have gotten TERRIBLE service here. The first time I was with my boyfriend. I got called away on an emergency and he was there alone for half an hour and he said no one came and asked him if he wanted more, a coffee etc. ONCE. Not ONE single time. When I came back, I only got a coffee after I flagged someone else down (not our server) and asked. I had already asked her but didn 't receive. Today I asked for wi-fi details AFTER I had ordered drinks and food and was told no they couldn 't provide it. One girl actually told me to pack up my stuff and go to starbucks. The manager refused to help me out. I was sitting there with all my fresh food in front of me and my meeting was in 10 minutes. I used my hotspot to have the meeting which costs a fortune because I have a US phone and am therefore roaming internationally. The manager told me people come here to eat. Well no [censored], what does it look like I m doing? I can go to any restaurant in town and get wifi, it 's 2020, this is what people do, get with the times. Sorry guys, you are really going to have to change the way your treat your customers. I have read articles about how bad you treat your staff, time to maybe revisit your company culture. Unhappy customers usually don 't even bother to give feedback, they just leave. I 'm sorry I have to leave, I 'll miss the awesome food a lot.
I had the tofu scramble, and it was divine! It was flavorful and filling. The portion size was just enough. I will definitely visit again when I visit Winnipeg again!
There are many vegan options on the menu at this restaurant. It is conveniently located on Sherbrooke St, not far from our Airbnb. We were pleased to find out that they offer brunch even during the week. I had the Mexican vegan dish and it was delicious and filling. It sustained me for the rest of the afternoon while visiting the Human Rights museum.
Stella's was my go-to restaurant in Winnipeg. Although not entirely vegetarian, they offer a variety of vegan and vegetarian options clearly marked on the menu. The Vegan Mexican dish I tried for $10.45 was satisfyingly large and delicious, with corn tortillas, refried beans, homemade breakfast patties, spinach, mushrooms, salsa, guacamole, and roasted potatoes. Another day, I enjoyed the vegetarian lasagna with a side of arugula salad, which had just the right amount of bitterness. While the lasagna was quite cheesy, it was still enjoyable. Stella's has multiple locations, including one near the University, which is clean, bright, and artsy. It was a relief to find a restaurant with so many vegan options in a city with limited vegetarian choices. I even had a delicious vegan breakfast at their Winnipeg airport location before my flight, and ordered the mushroom ragout to take on the plane.
