Mikansushi - Winnipeg

I have frequented this restaurant many times in the past few years, for both dining in and takeout. It is one of my top sushi spots. I have never encountered any dish with cheese, and the restroom has always been clean. I have tried sushi places all over the city, and this one remains one of my favorites. I particularly enjoy their octopus roll, assorted sashimi, and tempura.

I really should have read the reviews before coming to this place! My family and I came here for lunch and it was a disappointing experience. The sushi rolls were huge and the crab shell was still inside one of them. Another roll had a slice of cheese that had been melted onto it. The food was not worth the expensive price we paid. We will not be coming back here. Save your money and eat somewhere else.

My lunch experience at Mikan Sushi was delightful. For $11.55 per person, we were able to choose from a menu of 17 items including Misu Soup, Chicken Yakisoba, Spring Roll, assorted Tempura, Tuna Maki, Cucumber Maki, BC Roll, Tuna Bakudan Roll, Yam Roll, Dynamite Roll, Salmon Tempura Roll, and deep fried bananas. We enjoyed every dish. It is worth mentioning that there is a policy where if you do not finish your food, a charge of $1 per hour will be applied to prevent food wastage. Fortunately, we ate everything and did not have to pay any extra charges. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely consider returning in the future.

Went for AYCE $25.99 tax. Not worth the price. Pieces are rather large and everything was very salty. Left feeling so bloated from the sodium... 2 days later still feeling ick. Some of the rolls with tempura flakes very overpowering, all you can taste is the flakes. Sushi pizza, spring roll and sunomono salad were good. Tempura wasn't light and fluffy, rather more coarse and crunchy. Service was good and friendly.
