Ducky's Fish & Chips - Winnipeg

What an awesome time! The staff were very friendly and the service was amazing. Not to mention that the food and prices were exactly what we'd hoped for. I would highly recommend Ducky's to anyone looking for English style fish and chips!

Ate here for the first time, surprised it was under new management for past 6 months so was not sure what the newest reviews said as i always wanted to eat here by their stellar reputation. so we went to fergies at the forks and the line was long, and the seating even more limited, so we adventured out to duckys on notre dame. ample parking in back for us on an early friday evening and only one other customer inside waiting on her friends. so we got a seat with no line up and the very friendly and helpful waitress brought us menus and drinks. wifey said one of the best milk shakes shes ever had. ordered dinner for two, then heard about the special. so changed the order to the special which included one piece-fries and drink. yummy. cooked perfectly, light and tasty with in house tarter. big enough piece so we shared the special. fries delicious and perfectly fried up. would recommend, have to go to fergies first as never ate there. oh, in the parking lot and all piled up is garbage which needs to be bagged and gotten rid of. its where you enter and exit. ty

I liked the old owners. I like the new owners. I like the fish, fries, gravy and coleslaw. I just wish parking was better. It may be too low class for some, but it's a clean, friendly place with good food. I crave their fish as I live out of town.

Always had great food/experience here, but that changed when we went back under the new ownership. Food arrived and looked great. The fish was great as usual, but the fries were too dark on the outside and raw on the inside. Obviously fried in too hot a fat, got dark on the outside, but undone on the inside. I mentioned this when waitress came over to ask how things were....she just kind of waved it off and left. I was very disappointed!

I heard about this fish and chip restaurant from friends so I thought why not give it a try. I have tried other places so I had to try it abd compare it to others. It was lunch time when I entered the restaurant. I was pleasantly greeted and decided to try there fish and chips.I decided to eat in after telling them I wanted take out. With much anticipation my server brought it over to me. Fish and chips looked and smelled yummy. The fish was nicely coated but found the batter to be a bit thick.It tasted good but too much batter. The chips were a bit on the crispy side...slightly overdone.Overall the food was pretty good.
