This place is disgusting. I ordered from them during the summer seeing the prices were reasonable. When my pizza arrived, it looked like a cardboard $5 pizza from walmart. All the toppings looked like they were pre frozen bagged meats and vegetables from giant tiger. Would not recommend ordering or eating with them unless you're on deaths door.
Ordered on a Wed night around 11. They told me a half hr and were pretty much spot on. It was hot fresh and piled with the toppings I ordered. Also nice was a cheese mix which was standard mozzarella cheddar and perhaps another. Very cheesy which I like. The downside was a 5$ delivery charge despite their flyer advertising 2.99. Overall really good!
I love the pizza. My husband introduced me to Chicago Phil's. We had them cater our wedding social in 2009. That was my first time having their pizza. Delicious. They have a lunch special: 2 slices for $4. The staff is always very friendly.
Among others, I was given a menu from my hotel front desk for this downtown "hole in the wall" establishment. The oven-baked panzerotti immediately appealed to me, given that it was oven baked, stuffed with pizza toppings, and covered with garlic butter! Who in their right mind wouldn't find that mouthwatering! However, the driver was currently not working, so instead of ordering in to my hotel room, I decided to allow my trusty GPS to navigate downtown from the Ft Garry burbs. Though the wait was a bit longer than expected, it was worth it. I enjoyed watching the kind lady owner prepare this creation by hand, using rolling pins, her hands to curl the dough, and a brush to spread garlic butter on the finished product as it came piping hot out of the old-fashioned oven. Patrons can dine in on one of a couple high-top round tables or a kiddie table, or take out, which I opted for. Even though purchasing a can of cream soda, the lady kindly threw in a free bottled water. Should you find yourself in the mood for good-priced Italian (pizza or panzerotti, among other offerings), treat yourself to Chicago Phil's!
