Bidrage med feedbackThe beef ribs were incredibly delicious, and the borscht soup was absolutely the best! The owner personally served me; he was friendly and clearly took great pride in his cooking.
It's disappointing that this fantastic local BBQ spot has closed down. It's now a Spanish market with some food offerings. We miss Big W every time we drive by.
I was hiking solo in the area and decided to stop by this restaurant. I ordered two "Try It All" platters—one for myself and one to take home for my dad and sister.
We took a weekend trip from the city to Sherman, CT, loaded with groceries and planning to cook dinner upon our arrival. However, as we got closer to our destination, hunger struck, and we decided we couldn't wait. The first place we tried had a long wait of an hour. So we pressed on, and the driver recalled a fantastic BBQ spot we'd gone to recently, which wasn't far from where we were.
Warren, the owner, is a real character and will happily chat with you about the differences between various types of ribs, barbecue styles, regional sauces, and anything else you might be curious about regarding barbecue. I really appreciate Warren and love Big W’s. While it may not have fancy decor, the generous portions more than make up for it. All in all, it's definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!
