Bidrage med feedbackThis restaurant has a very welcoming atmosphere, especially thanks to the amazing staff member, Nicole, who served us. We were pleasantly surprised by how quickly and perfectly prepared all our food was. I highly recommend stopping by this place during your trip to Windsor - 5 stars all around!
We thought we'd be happy to return here... more than disappointed. Hamburger was well done and 5$ charged to get a caesar so it is a 25.00 meal overpriced and not well done! The Shrimp Appetizer with Baguette was the poorest excuse I've ever seen for such a court. The fish Tacos had fruit salsa.. inappropriate, terrible old cabbage without sauce! Must have asked to delete the table. Very mediocre food experience for 3 people who have a beer and hamburger or fish taco for 160.00. Averall also needs a refreshment and cleaning!! I hope they can let this happen.
I visited Thompson House multiple times, hoping for a nice evening meal, but it was a disappointment. The prices were high and the quality was poor. Everyone at my table was unhappy with their drinks, finding them weak or tasteless. The perch dinners were also dry and bland. Our waitress was excellent, but we didn't think to complain until after we left. Just a warning for anyone considering dining here.
I have been a guest at Thompson House since its opening. Many of my friends visit there also weekly! I've never been disappointed, but tonight was too much to wear. I was there with one of my... rare Thompson house guests who order my friend and I to order the Chicken Pot Pie...rave reviews. The three of us ordered and when they came, they looked beautiful. Sadly, when we rode through the pastry crust, we stayed with a soup. Watery chaos with very little in the cake. We were all disappointed and called the waitress to complain. We told her that this is unacceptable. We need a spoon or straw to eat this so-called pancake. We expected her to take away the sad excuse for a pancake and we would instead order other ducks. She returned to the table and said that she could not accept us that we refuse to pay as the cost of pots was a lot. Maybe she was ready to 50% of the cost of the cakes we never touched or ate. That was unacceptable. Then she began to argue that other people love the cakes and that was just our opinion. How can she question my culinary criticism. We have gone and will not return based on the events that have happened. Instead of accepting the opinion of three people that the cakes were sub par and uanccpetble and eat the $54 cost, you lost only three regular customers and many friends who will learn from this situation. This was not the right answer to the justified compaints of a customer. There are many other pubs and restaurants in Windsor that show more respect for customers.
I went out for the first time in over a year and only had appetizers and drinks. The patio was nice, but our table was sticky. Despite that, we waited a long time for our server, Lexy, who was terrible. She seemed to be distracted and did not come back to fill our drinks. When she finally did, she asked us if we were ready for the bill, but we asked for a glass of red wine instead. When she brought the wine, it tasted like vinegar. After waiting another 15 minutes, she brought us a different red wine that was okay. By that point, I just wanted to leave. This was my fifth visit to this neighborhood pub since it opened, and I have had terrible service every time. In addition, the pub food is extremely expensive. I will not be giving this place a sixth chance. I also asked for a supervisor or manager, but no one was in charge.
