I am giving this restaurant a two-star rating for several reasons. Firstly, the food is average considering the price we paid. We were not impressed with our dining experience.
I haven't been to this restaurant in years, but I used to come for the banana chango dessert. I'm not sure if it's still available, but if it is, you definitely have to try it.
Yes, the title is what it is, because, we didn't know what the cardboard looking thing on the top of my salad was. I ordered the salmon and avocado cobb salad. It looked , and acted (yes , acted), like some sort of large cracker. When I tapped on it with my fork it made a noise. I set it aside on my plate because I eat low carb. Then the person I was lunching with asked where my salmon was. Omg, it was that hard piece of thing that was acting like a cracker. How dissappointing. Dry, tasteless thin small piece of leatherish texture. Unfortunately we were in a hurry to get back to work so we had to leave but I would definitely not recommend. And by the way if you're going to act like a cool trendy place that charges $18.75 for a salad at lunch time, then have your quality reflect it!!
My husband and I went to Moxie's on a whim. We had not been there in about ten years. We were pleased to see the place has had an "uplift". It is now nice and bright inside and the servers have a more respectful dress code. We informed our server of our allergies and that we were on our way to the show. Our waitress was very attentive and ensured the chef knew of our allergies. We both had steak; my husband the mushroom sirloin and myself the honey garlic. Both were cooked to our desired perfection by the chef himself, who did so to ensure our allergies were accommodated. This was tremendous. We were taken back at the quality of the food for a chain restaurant, which we usually avoid. We were pleasantly surprised.
