Bidrage med feedbackThis is the perfect restaurant for vegan/gluten-free eaters (or those of us with food allergies along the same lines). Although pricey, there are many options to choose from, including dessert. Everything is fresh and delicious, and portion sizes are filling. [Be aware, they only have tap pay and cash. If you are a Scotiabank customer, you may have issues.
Great food. but pricey !. Food is very good and the atmosphere is awesome. However, 10 dollars for a small sweet potato shepherds pie? i understand everything is vegan and homemade and effort is put in. However its just a bit too pricey when you can walk down to taloola and get similar vegan and vegetarian options at a lower cost. If prices were even a few dollars lower i wouldn't have a problem but i find it hard to pay 10 plus dollars for a salad.
Each morning as I drive to work, I notice a beautiful bright orange (but not too orange) sign with sleek modern lettering announcing the newly opened vegan and gluten free cafe called Carrots 'n ' Dates . It 's very inviting. I always want to stop and check it out, but 7:38 a.m. isn 't the right time. On my way home, I think to myself, 'Now where WAS that new crunchy health food cafe? So I continue on home, only to be greeted by the same gorgeously alluring sign the next morning. Finally on Friday I decided to turn around and retrace my route westward to find the sign. Lo and behold, the street I chose for my turn-around was the right one! Carrots 'n ' Dates is on the corner of Argyle and Wyandotte Street East, in the basement of the building that houses Salute Coffee Bar and a broadcast media station. Hint to owners of new cafe: do whatever you have to do to convince your
The food at this restaurant is delicious and the staff is friendly! I enjoyed a delicious pumpkin spice latte today, which was a nice surprise as it's hard to find ones made with vegan syrup. The atmosphere of the restaurant is comfortable and welcoming. We did have a bit of trouble finding the place because we entered through the wrong door.
The food at this restaurant is all delicious, but make sure to try the pad thai. The atmosphere is very welcoming and it's a great spot to socialize with friends. While the prices may be a bit high, the quality of the food is excellent and the portion sizes are generous. Be sure to also try the on tap kombucha, it's a must-try!
