Capone's Grill & Pasta Shop - Windsor

Another awesome evening Capones I had the special which was pasta with generous chunks of beef tenderloin the sauce was so delicious. John had the beef tenderloin (blue) not a crumb left on his plate. Blueberry cheesecake and Grand Marnier were the perfect end of a perfect dinner. Thanks to Deb, John, Jaden (loved the hugs) Don't miss the Italian sausage appetizer, amazing!!

Perfect place for a lovely dining experience. Cozy and intimate with great food and friendly entertaining service. Definitely a repeat visit or a few.

GREAT food! Place was a little crammed, but that wouldn't stop us from going back. What I really did not like was the fact that our waitress didn't have a mask or a shield on at all. Capone's is a small place so social distancing is not really possible. I also caught her several times nibbling on cheese behind the bar without washing her hands before or after. The other staff seemed to be following better hygiene practices though.

We had a great night. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Our meals tasted fantastic and were reasonably priced. The atmosphere was nice too. I’d definitely go back.

Service was good and very friendly and inviting. The atmosphere was very suitable and we were excited for our meal. The house red was very good. However I'm currently sitting on my toilet for the fifth time paying for a mussel I ate that made my mouth go numb and tasted like the Colosanti's petting zoo. I didn't eat anymore after that but it was too late. The rest of the mussels that I am had (maybe three or four) leading up to that one were not fresh but alas I was in no mood to complain so we just put them aside (not knowing they would come back to haunt us). The veal was barely passable unfortunately and my partner's salmon was a bit overdone. I tried my partner's gnocchi and it was great. Not quite sure how this place is highly rated, but if I had too guess I would say maybe they are pasta orders as all the pasta dishes I saw looked great and the spaghetti side I ordered was good as well. As I reach for the toilet roll I can leave you with only my experience that I expect is an anomaly based on the many good reviews. I am very comfortable recommending the pasta dishes and the house red. It felt like there was more to be offered there and we might be willing to give it a shot and just get pasta as our mains as we enjoyed the service and the staff seemed great. There is a lot going for it so I hope it was just a rough day in the kitchen and I hope that if there is a next time that I can give it a higher rating. Don't order the mussels... Seriously, don't.
